In the event that you decide to throw your lot in with us, we humbly suggest that you regard membership in the TTL community as a privilege, and not a right.  In the interest of sustaining harmony and promoting tactical chatter, we insist that the following guidelines be followed.  Tied the Leader is about fun, not rules.  We just find that a baseline of conduct tends to safeguard that fun.  Your tenure as a member of our community is contingent upon your compliance with the following…

Maintain a Singular Identity. [The Shapeshifter Doctrine]
Your identity is to correspond to an active gamertag that is associated with a Gold Account on Xbox Live [or other similar gaming handle such a PSN account].  Displaying a name other than your gamertag is antithetical to the purpose of finding one another in-game.  Subsequently, you are allowed only one login on these boards.  Franchising your identity across multiple gamertags and/or clan affiliations is frowned upon.  You get one avatar here.

Focus Primarily on the Game. [The Grabass Doctrine]
Various interactions are enabled on our discussion boards.  The most valuable among them are the ones that unite worthy teammates in a multiplayer game – that which we all have in common.  The party in MidWorld is a pleasant distraction, but a distraction nonetheless.  Tied the Leader exists for as specific [and as seperate] a reason as Facebook or Match.com.  We are here to play a game.  No grabass in the clubhouse.

Play Your Very Best Game.
This is a question of character, not skill.  Your conduct is crucial during a game on Xbox Live.  As a member of the community, you are a direct reflection on every Affiliate Clan of the Good Game Network and their allies.  When you find yourself on our team, we expect that you will respect our respective values and bylaws.  If those cramp your style, you are in the wrong place.

Avoid Controversy or Irrelevant Debate. [The Troll Doctrine]
The Internet is riddled with corners where you can propagate your opinions on firebrand topics like politics or religion.  This is not one of them.  The MidWorld Forum is your safehouse away from that variety of drama.  This gaming community represents a broad spectrum of diversity.  All walks.  All faiths.  Both sides of the isle.  Exploring what sets us apart will only compromise what brings us together.

Don’t Post Angry.
Conflict Resolution will be conducted by TTL Staffers and GGN Delegates.  You are welcomed and encouraged to report offensive posts to the moderators of this forum.  You are not welcomed to incite drama before the reading eyes of the general population.  Should you have an axe to grind, send a private message.  Language that promotes open conflict will be supressed in favor of private mediation.  Keep it clean!

Respect the Tag. [The KSI Doctrine]
Tied the Leader has one official clan.  The TTL brand is reserved for the Gunslingers.  For us to franchise TTL clan tags across our entire membership base would expose us to the scorn intended for sprawling communities that fail to insure the quality of their populations.  Please do us the courtesy of not donning the TTL uniform unless you are [or were] listed on our active roster.

Abuse Not to be Tolerated.
Harrassment of any sort will be dealt with swiftly and finally; be it verbal, sexual, metaphorical, metaphysical, geopolitical, etc.  This extends from the forum to the game.  Entrance into the Embassy is completely reversable.  This policy covers your opponents as much as it does to your fellow Allies.  The GGN does not exist to teach anyone how to behave with honor.  You are expected to bring that with you.

Hospitality for Newcomers. [The 'Do Not Feed The Jackass' Doctrine]
Recruitment is the life-blood of all clans in the Good Game Network.  While everyone is encouraged to make a showing of hospitality when new recruits arrive, we would ask that you refrain from mocking those individuals who exhibit clear signals that they will not be a fit for this community.  If someone does not represent an asset, please leave them to the attention of the Staff.  We will deal with them ourselves.

Gossip is Verboten. [The Spoiler Doctrine]
It is no secret that spoilers for projects in development are currency among gamers.  Tied the Leader does not exist to break stories about the industry we follow.  We prefer to let the game developers be the ones who spring the surprise at the time of their choosing.  Therefore, the dissemination of leaked, pirated, stolen, unauthorized, or unlicensed materials will be censored immediately.  In MidWorld, it is the pirates who walk the plank.

Don’t Take Yourself Too Seriously.
Competition and theatrics aside, Tied the Leader is a recreational gaming community.  That means that our membership partakes in the pastime of gaming in the interest of a good time.  A sense of humor is critical to successful interactions with the individuals to be found on these boards.  Play to win, but have fun.  It is asked that members keep the preceedings enabled by this forum in perspective, as a hobby for the sake of enjoyment.
